I feel more could of been done here, as I know people found this one of the more frustrating sections of the game. The buried alive scene however ended really quickly and didn't seem to hold much purpose, as you manage to break out in a matter of seconds. Laird was probably the weakest character in the story, but did provide a cool crusifiction scene. I thought the school sections were a little too frequent near the end, but still provided an excellent and creepy side plot to thicken out Blake's character and his disturbing past.
Unfortunately, it kind of fell a little flat after that point. This made Knoth a clear threat and someone we want to see more in the story, since he's one of the most interesting characters in the game. That torture scene with Knoth had to be one of the best moments of Outlast 2, and really hyped me up for the rest of the game. Now that I look at it, the first section of the game in Temple Gate was probably one of the best parts in my opinion.
